Established in appreciation of the Meharry mission. This scholarship is dedicated to the faculty, administrators and staff of this fine medical collage for their generous commitment to quality education. The endowment provides tuition assistance to any conscientious medical, dental or graduate student who is in good academic standing and has demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of life in his/her community or on campus.
UMBC Meyerhoff Scholars Program – Alma D. Hunt/VCM Scholarship in Science and Engineering
The Purpose of this endowment is to provide funds for students enrolled in the Meyerhoff Scholarship Program. The Program began in 1988 with generous support from Robert and Jane Meyerhoff to provide financial assistance, mentoring, advising, and research to African American male undergraduate students committed to obtaining Ph.D. degrees in math, science, and engineering.
Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University – Alma D. Hunt/VCM Award
This Alma D. Hunt/VCM Award was established in memory of a lady (1891-1987), who dedicated her life to attending to the needs of others first. The Alma D. Hunt/VCM Award is given annually to a Johns Hopkins Carey Business School student who embodies the values of Alma D. Hunt and has demonstrated through works and deeds an extraordinary life of service to mankind.

This endowed gift to the School of Nursing was made to recognize and show sincere appreciation for the dedicated nurses who so eloquently touched the sunset of my grandmother’s life with their exceptional care.
